What is Kim Chi exactly?

I (this is Carl, even though I'm posting as Tracy) went to Seoul, South Korea for a work meeting a few weeks ago. It was mostly a business trip, without a lot of time for seeing the city or the country, but on Saturday before my flight had a chance to be a bit of a tourist. We started the day by going on a tour of the DMZ -- the area between North and South Korea -- and go into one of the infiltration tunnels built by the North Koreans to be able to sneak into South Korea. It was very interesting to see, and to see both the hope for unification and the sadness that is caused by split families and having a divided country. Later in the day I went to one of the shopping areas and took a few pictures as well -- click on the slideshow for a full screen view.
