Labour Day Weekend Aussie Style

We had a public holiday today for Australian Labour day and used the long weekend to take a nice drive down the south coast. Summer is really arriving in Australia -- it was great weather and we were excited to break out the flip flops. We stopped at a wildlife park and got to feed some Kangaroos and made it all the way down to some great beaches at Jervis Bay. Our friend Drew let us stay at his place in Kiama for the night, so you'll see some pictures of his beautiful house and surrounding land. Check out the pictures to see Tracy's new friend "scratchy" who liked all the attention he got from her, and some nice beach and animal pics.

Visiting Tahoe and San Francisco

On my last business trip back to the states I had the chance to drive up to Tahoe and visit the fam. It was a short trip, but it was fun to see everyone who we haven't seen in a while. It's too bad Tracy couldn't join, but she was with us in spirit. Take a look at some pictures from the trip.

Queenstown, New Zealand

Tracy and I took a week holiday to go exploring our neighbour country, New Zealand. We had initially intended this as a ski holiday to Queenstown, but it was a bit warm for our taste and we supplemented our 2 days of skiing with a lot of activities and exploration of the area. We're always a bit skeptical when people go on about how pretty a place is, but we both thought Queenstown and the areas around it were absolutely spectacular -- so many times we thought we were looking at a postcard. We took a LOT of pictures, and edited them down to a measly 300. I know its a lot, and they are probably a lot a like, but we just couldn't get rid of too many more. The captions in the pictures tell you more about all the things we did. Our favourite part was a flight (in a tiny little plane) from Queenstown to Milford Sound where we took a boat ride -- its one of the fijords in the national park that you can go visit -- so be sure to check those out. It was a very memorable holiday and a great break from Sydney life.
